December Flower Friday

We are joining Dory for December Flower Friday.

This is our Cyclamen.   Miss April gave it to mom last February at dad's Celebration of Life pawty.  Mom is horrible with house plants but she kept it alive till she could put it outside for the summer.  She hid it underneath a Hosta.   We had a very dry summer and the poor Cyclamen only got watered when mom remembered, which wasn't often.   In September, when she was putting gardens to sleep for the winter and leaves were dying and falling, she discovered that the Cyclamen was full of buds so she brought it inside and she's been very good about watering it.  It helps that it's on the bathroom window sill☺
This is the only flower that's blooming for us this month and it sure does make us smile!

Love ya lots♥

  5. That is so pretty. We don't have any indoor flowers and nothing is blooming outside now that winter is here big time this week.

  6. My ghostwriter is the same with plants. They have to be the kinds that thrive on neglect!

  8. It looks like it likes that window, my Dad used to keep one blooming nearly all the time. I don't know how he did it.

  9. That is very beautiful. Mom had a cyclamen a few times and never had any luck. We think she gave it too much water:(

  12. How pretty. I had one last year. I didn't realize how hardy they are and how easy. But sadly the heat on the balcony in the apartment zapped it!
    I love yours!
